The Swedish rock band Ghost, known for their on-stage costumed presence, made a stop at Viejas Arena on August 10th in support of their sixth studio album Skeletá. The event unfolded featuring pyrotechnics, stunning sets, LED screens, torn drapes, all this added to the mystery that happens at a Ghost concert.
The opening number was that of "Peacefield" from their latest album that dropped in April of this year.
It was a phone-free night as everyone had to lock their phones into a pouch before and during the show. This put a clear focus on the show, and it was a pleasure not to view a sea of cell phones waving in the air, and fans posting their time-sharing pictures on social media. If necessary, a room was available to use your phone. There was such a sense of enjoyment, excitement and extreme appreciation for the concert as a whole. Everything from the sets, visual art, costumes, musicianship etc.
The fans lines up early in full costumes and face paint. All this very artist and theatrical mirroring Ghost's style.
