On the night of April 3rd, it was with a slight surprise that rain started happening, after all it's that time of the year. Even though there were some sprinkles, it did not put a damper on the exciting soulful evening of music.
I have photographed a Corinne Bailey Rae concert in the past, and her joyous, soulful jazz stylings continue to grow. There is such an allure connected with her enchanting charm and talent that resonates with the audience whether she is singing, playing the guitar, or keyboards. Her appeal is charismatic and classy. She is a natural.
Rae covered songs mixing classics, fan favorites and newer tracks.
It felt as if you were having an out of body cleansing experience, gentle and liberating at the same time.
Haley Reinhart opened the show. She did a great set especially her rendition of the classic cover of " Can't Help Falling in Love". Her style is very different from Corinne Baily Rae, but they meshed well.
The Epstein Family Amphitheater created a striking atmosphere for Corinne Bailey Rae's concert. It has beautiful lighting, great sound and a perfect atmosphere, especially for this type of concert. All and all a beautiful evening.
