Ben Barnes kicked off his “Where the Light Gets In” 2025 Worldwide Tour at the House of Blues San Diego on January 8, 2025.

At 8pm the opening act started out with Zoe Sparks, followed by Sophia James and ending with Charles Jones. Each awesome musician played a short set of their music before joining Ben Barnes on stage at 9pm.

Ben Barnes took the stage or should I say “commanded” the stage with his strong voice and larger than life stage presence. He used all of his acting skills, which he has finely honed on various stages around the world, to emotionally connect with the crowd.

It is too early to tell if Ben Barnes is an actor who sings or a singing actor but from what I heard on this opening night of his tour he will continue to dispel any confusion as to his singing abilities. He has a clear and resonant voice that emotionally connects to his audience; and isn’t that the way we define a good singer?

Well, enough of my opinion. The best way to find out for yourself is to go to one of his upcoming live performances and make up your own mind or heart as to what the future holds for this major talent.
