NAMM Show 2020

Another extraordinary NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Trade Show is one for the books. On Thursday, January 16th, 2020 the annual show began it's four-day run concluding on Sunday, January 19, 2020. This tremendous event draws over $115,000 attendees including musicians, retailers, buyers, educators, and NAMM members companies. Here you can check out the newest innovations and preview instruments and equipment.

The NAMM show also offers an abundant variety of educational sessions as well as exclusive concerts of varied genres, awards recognition shows, artist signings, plus countless demonstrations throughout the venue. You can find instruments of all kinds, lighting and sound systems, software and everything related to the process of creating, making music and beyond.

Being located in Anaheim is a huge plus. The Convention Center is massive and set up so that you can move rather easily even with the large crowds. There are three levels with the ground floor containing the most vendors, while the second and third levels are gradually smaller. You can easily pick up your badge and be on your way. Transportation is not an issue since there are several parking lots including Preferred Parking, Shuttles, Rideshares, Angel Stadium, and The Garden Walk.

One of the most enjoyable things to see is people, especially kids and young adults testing the instruments and enjoying the hands-on experience.  For some, this may be the first time they are exposed to the joys of music in general. You never know when a new passion can take hold.
As Shakespeare said "WHEN WORDS FAIL, MUSIC SPEAKS"

While there were so many signings, events, and demos going on I enjoyed viewing the introduction of Nino Bettencourt's new signature Washburn Nele guitar similar to the N4 guitar.

Another interesting display was the Piano Arc -
