The San Diego audience welcomed with open arms the Grammy Award-nominated 98 Degrees on Sunday, November 18th. 

The band covered an extensive selection of Christmas tunes. They were light, humorous and easy renditions sprinkled with amazingly awesome soulful vocals especially evident in the classic touching "Mary Did you Know" as sung by Nick Lachey. Each member of the group took their turn vocalizing, whether it be a full song or a section of one... each and every one with a significant amount of success. Such fun tunes performed were "Run Run Rudolph", "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and "Frosty the Snowman". Also included in the set was the Brenda Lee cover of the ever popular "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree".  What would Christmas be without the perennial "The Christmas Song" (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire") performed in a stylish mellow smooth vibe. There was a hardy collection of holiday tunes with something for everyone.

Sneaking into the Christmas theme 98 Degrees sang some of their big hits... "I Do", "Because of You", "Invisible Man", "The Hardest Thing" and their newer "Season of Love"  from the bands 2017 album "Let It Snow" destined to become a holiday favorite. 

98 Degrees glided and danced on the stage engaging the audience to stand and be an integral part of the show. Their first-rate 4-part harmony and infectious style brought together an atmosphere of a fun sing-along with friends. The stage design was not overly glitzy or glamorized in such a way to take away from the performances. It created the right amount of lighting. As always the Balboa Theatre is one of the best venues in San Diego... just the right place for an excellent concert like this with its top-notch sound system. 

The concert was in two parts with a short 10-15 minute intermission. The show was almost two hours long and it breezed by leaving the audience wanting more and for good reason. This was a totally outstanding show communicating the spirit of Christmas in a way that everyone enjoyed!!!
