October 12, 2018: Today, the New York-based rock band Sunflower Bean released an Amazon Original song "Twentytwo" (Alternate Version). The new recording is a re-imagining of the song which originally appeared on their critically-acclaimed album Twentytwo in Blue which was released earlier this year.
Stream and Purchase "Twentytwo" (Alternate Version) via Amazon Music:
"The song 'Twentytwo' carries so much weight and felt like it could be taken in a bunch of different directions," explained the band. "We wanted to go deeper into the idea that you are entering a new world when listening to this song and give the listener a true alternate universe feel. We started messing around with the track and the idea of sampling itself back into the new version. We followed that rabbit hole into a new world."
Consequence of Sound called the album "something truly spectacular" while NPR Music said, " It's amazing to see and hear this band's maturation in such a short time. Cumming's vocal is strong and confident, and the classic rock riffs conjure up comparisons to Joan Jett... ridiculously talented."
Amazon Music listeners can simply ask, "A lexa, play the new song by Sunflower Bean" in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android and on Alexa-enabled device. In addition to the new track, Amazon Music listeners can access hundreds of Amazon Original songs and numerous albums featuring both emerging and established artists across numerous genres, available to stream and purchase, only on Amazon Music.
