Animal Years
The House of Blues in San Diego
May 11, 2018
The band "Animal Years" played at the House of Blues in San Diego on May 11th. Just recently, December 2017 Rolling Stone Magazine named them as one of the 10 best artists you need to know.
The Brooklyn based group originally from the Baltimore area consists of Mike McFadden (singer-songwriter & guitarist) Anthony Saladino (bass) and Anthony Spinnato (drums).
From the onset of the show, the Pop-Rock Americana band embraced the audience with their brand of emotional, jubilant, euphoric and heartfelt performance styling. The Voodoo Room served as a stellar venue for the evening's mixed bag of tunes, although "Animal Years" could easily and should be in concert at any one of the larger venues in the very near future. They are outstanding artists in their own right who relate to each other seamlessly from the poignant "Home", the personal "Friends" the arresting "Caroline" and every song in the set. Mike McFadden even threw in a touch of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me".
The band played with intense energy throughout, never letting any part of the show fall below a level of excellence. Their high caliber of musicianship was evident all evening.
