The band Typhoon made it's  San Diego tour stop in promotion of their new album "Offerings". The album now out on Roll Call Records is proving to be well received.  This is the bands' fourth studio outing following Typhoon 2005, Hunger and Thirst 2010, and  White Lighter 2013. They are storytellers whose lyrics and musical prowess has mesmerized a continuously growing fanbase. Their new album is especially impressive as was the concert on this night.

The Portland, Oregon based group played both new and older material interweaving them effortlessly with an undeniable ease and flow.  The packed audience could feel that the band was delivering each tune with every fiber of their being, elevating the somewhat dark songs to another level of intimacy with energy and verve. In turn, the audience responded to Typhoon as that of oneness, an atmosphere  of enthusiasm and uniqueness.

The leader singer Kyle Morton radiates his love of live performance and seems to really enjoy  chatting with the fans. The band, even better in person than you would image, comes across as a tight-knit family.

The Music Box is an awesome concert venue. It boasts an outstanding sound system and atmosphere that really suited Typhoon .  It is the perfect place for close-up performances.
