The Winery Dogs

Richie Kotzen (vocals and Guitar) formerly with Poison and Mr. Big

Billy Sheehan (Bass and Vocals) Has been with Mr. Big, David Lee Roth and Steve Vai

Mike Portnoy (Drums and Vocals) co- founder of the metal progressive superstars Dream Theatre.

Amazing musicanship and showmanship. Blusey rock that is well-played, written and performed. The quality of their songs are solid. Richie Kotzens has long been know to be a virtuoso guitar player, now his singing and songwriting prowess are quite apparent. Billy Sheehan on bass is epic. He has been voted "Best Rock Bass Player" 5 times in Guitar Play Magazine Readers Poll. RThere is a good reason why Mike Portnoy was the second youngest drummer to be inducted into the Modern Drummers Hall of Fame. He delivers straightforward top notch percussion.

The Ramona Mainstage was packed. This was the second stop of  their  U.S. tour following a successfull trek across Latin American and Europe. The anticipation for this concert was fueled by their outstanding debut album that was released in July 2013. These are three respected musicians in their own right. The band  ignited the North County venue with unbridled talent and energy. The Winery Dogs are even better live than in the studio. The trio has a spectacular flow, from the slow tempo "Damage" right back to the rocking "Six Feet Deeper". This concert was a winner from start to finish. In my opinion,  if not the best, one of the best concerts this year.
