Kaaboo Del Mar 2016: It's much more than a Music Festival, It's a Happening

On it's second go round, Kaaboo Del Mar is once again serving up a potpourri of A-list musical talent that is diverse and appealing to a wide audience. Appearing on the first day Friday Sept.16th, some of the main headliners are Jimmy Buffet, Fall Out Boy, and Daryl Hall & and John Oates.

Saturday is equally exciting with Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, and The Avett Brothers.There will be an abundant amount of excellent music.

In addition, 16 very talented comedians will be appearing at the Humor Me indoor Comedy Club during the three days including Brian Posehn, Jeff Ross and Cheech and Chong.

Also appearing will be the musicians who participated and won their spot in the Discovery Tour. The tour took place in various venues in San Diego in July and August. The last installment of the Tour was at The Music Box in Little Italy on August 13th. The audience voted for the band they most want to see at playing at Kaaboo. This gives some local unsigned bands a great chance to perform on a major stage in a stellar event.

Another significant feature is Kaaboo Palate. It boasts a culinary line-up featuring  an extraordinary group of Chefs including Top Chef All Stars winner Richard Blais of Juniper & Ivy, and Top Chef finalist  Brian Malarkey who recently opened his newest restaurant  Herb & Wood. You will find a wonderful mix of rustic upscale cuisine. Here again the festival provides an outstanding variety from the make-your-own, seafood, to food demonstrations, and for the sweet tooth ice cream, candy bars etc. Not to be forgotten are the sampling of Tequila, vodka, and local craft beers.
